New Pals in Palworld 1.0: What's Worth Breeding
Palworld 1.0 didn't just rewrite the breeding table — it added a wave of new Pals to breed toward, bringing the roster to 299. If you're coming back after the update, here's how to figure out which new Pals are worth a breeding project and how to find their combinations.
What 1.0 added
The 1.0 update introduced dozens of new Pals along with new elemental variants of existing ones. Every one of the 299 Pals — new and old — has a verified entry in the current dataset, so you can look up any of them the same way. How to breed a new Pal
The method is the same as for any Pal — the trick is not to trust old information, because pre-1.0 guides simply don't cover the new additions correctly:
- Search the Pal in the breeding calculator to get every verified parent pair, ranked by how easy the parents are to obtain.
- Check whether it's same-species only.Some standout new and reworked Pals can only be bred from two of the same species — the calculator and the Pal's page make this clear.
- Plan backwardif the parents aren't on hand, using the breeding chain method.
Elemental variants breed separately
Many additions are elemental variants (an Ignis, Noct, Lux, Cryst, or Aqua version of a base Pal). Treat these as their own species for breeding: a variant has its own parent combinations that are usually different from the base Pal's, so always look up the exact variant you want rather than assuming it breeds like the original.
Which new Pals are worth breeding?
